zamus: academy offers a unique opportunity for young talents and emerging ensembles to receive intensive support during the zamus: early music festival. This program is designed for musicians in training who specialize in early music and chamber music and are looking for a distinctive platform to further their musical development.

During the zamus: early music festival, participants benefit from specialized workshops, masterclasses, and coaching sessions led by established musicians and experts in the field of early music. They have the opportunity to showcase their talent—including a performance within the festival—receive valuable feedback, and have full access to the festival.

A panel of jurors oversees the selection process for the :academy. zamus covers accommodation costs during the rehearsal period and provides participants with a public transport ticket and a festival pass valid for all festival events.

Oboe

Clara Blessing

As a specialist in historical instruments, Clara Blessing has earned an outstanding reputation. Her playing, described as “full of emotional warmth” (KStA), moves audiences and critics worldwide. She performs as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestral player with ensembles such as Concerto Köln, the Budapest Festival Orchestra and The English Concert, or alongside artists such as Isabelle Faust and Kristian Bezuidenhout. Teaching is a labour of love for her: since 2020, she has been a professor at the Würzburg University of Music, where she has also held the position of Vice-President for Artistic Practice since 2023. In this role, she is engaged in all aspects of university life and brings her own initiatives to projects such as Network 4.0, the establishment of a Career Centre and the “Days of Diversity”. Her “Etudes for Oboe”, a collection of original practice pieces, was published by Edition Walhall in 2021 and has since enjoyed great acclaim both at home and abroad.

Robert Oberaigner

Robert Oberaigner studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and completed his studies under Sabine Meyer at the Lübeck University of Music. His solo and chamber music performances have taken him to venues including the Vienna Musikverein, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Mozarteum in Salzburg and the Cologne Philharmonie. Robert Oberaigner studied historical clarinet with Eric Hoeprich at The Hague Conservatory. He has performed in concerts with Capella Coloniensis, Concerto Köln and the Dresden Festival Orchestra, and is a lecturer and principal clarinettist at the Gustav Mahler Academy (Bolzano). He also serves as principal clarinettist with the Sächsische Staatskapelle Dresden and holds professorships at the Tyrolean State Conservatory in Innsbruck and the Rostock University of Music.
